Working Bodies

Alongside its statutory bodies (Board of Governors and General Assembly), the activities of the AIM are mainly organised on the basis of various working groups. Delegates from member organisations meet regularly to analyse the current situation and international trends in health insurance and social welfare. These working groups discuss the changes seen and the policies implemented, produce reports, hold seminars on specific subjects and draw up joint position statements. Each group operates in a particular field.

There are basically two types of working group:

• Committees: permanent working groups, emanations of the Board of Governors and covering an essential part of AIM's mission;
• Project groups: topical and temporary working groups, focussed on a specific objective or outcome.
