Expert Talk – Climate-resilient Healthcare Systems
Climate change is predicted to have a growing impact on public health in the coming years. It affects the social and environmental determinants of health and the very effectiveness and sustainability of our healthcare systems, which also have a significant environmental footprint. Luckily, that also means that they can play a key role in mitigation.
Through the event, participants will gain knowledge on the latest evidence on the effects of climate change on health, but also on the impact of healthcare systems on climate. They will learn how the environmental footprint of those systems can be reduced and their climatic resilience improved. Finally, they will be inspired to take action through best practice examples of how healthcare funds are making their contribution.
