📢 The programme is now available for the AIM European Affairs Committee meeting, taking place on 23rd of June 2026 in partnership with our Dutch member, Zorgverzekeraars Nederland (ZN).
The meeting will open with a discussion on the concept of appropriate care, featuring contributions from Prof. Xander Koolman (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), Pauline de Heer (Zorginstituut Nederland) and Rico Bastiaans (Zilveren Kruis), followed by a panel discussion on the sustainability of European healthcare systems.
The second session will focus on treatment optimisation and balancing competitiveness with patients’ access to affordable treatment, with insights from Denis Lacombe (EORTC), Gytis Bendorius (National Health Insurance Fund, Lithuania) and Rasmus Prior Gjesing (WHO Europe).
At a time when healthcare systems across Europe are facing growing financial, demographic and workforce challenges, meaningful change requires solidarity, shared responsibility and collaboration across all stakeholders.
This meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and explore practical solutions to ensure healthcare remains accessible, affordable and sustainable for everyone.
