Special Briefing on AIM’s 2024 General Assembly
The 2024 General Assembly of AIM took place on 13th and 14th November in Brussels, hosted by Mutualité Chrétienne. This year’s assembly addressed the global challenges impacting health and social care systems, from the climate crisis to political upheavals and the ongoing wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. As mutuals, AIM members continue to focus on providing accessible, affordable, and sustainable health and social care based on core values of solidarity, democracy, and not-for-profit.
Looking ahead, AIM preapred for a new office relocation, an international conference in Burundi, and a celebration of its 75th anniversary, declaring 2025 as the Year of Solidarity. Additionally, 2024 marks a pivotal moment with the onset of significant political shifts in Europe, including a new European Parliament and European Commission, laying the foundation for continued advocacy and engagement.
