AIM’s contribution to the UN work on the Social and Solidarity Economy
AIM is pleased to contribute to the work of the United Nations Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy by highlighting the role of mutuals in building fairer, more resilient and more inclusive societies. Rooted in solidarity, democracy and not-for-profit principles, mutuals play a key role in advancing universal health coverage, strengthening social protection, and ensuring access to affordable, quality care and services.
Through examples from Europe, Africa and Latin America, AIM’s input underlines the need for stronger legal recognition, adapted financing tools, and greater integration of mutuals and other social economy actors into public policies at national, regional and international levels.
