On 2 October, the Board and the General Assembly of Zorgverzekeraars Nederland approved a new term for Dirk Jan van den Berg as chairman. Dirk Jan van den Berg has been chairman of ZN since February 2020, his second term will start from 1 February 2024.

We face major challenges in healthcare and then it is great to have an experienced director with so much knowledge and vision on board, who also has an enormous commitment to access to care for every Dutch person.”

Dirk Jan van Berg, ZN board chairman: “With great energy, I am happy to commit myself to the major challenges in healthcare and the necessary transformations that must take place in the coming period. I enjoy doing so together with the other board members, management and employees of Zorgverzekeraars Nederland, which is why I am happy to commit myself to ZN for a second term.
